Requesting Videos at Lehigh: DVDs

A guide on how to access or request videos from the Lehigh Libraries

Video Request Form

To place items from our Media Collection on Reserve, contact Ricky Houck in Lending Services (8-4924 or rmh415@lehigh.edu) or use the Video Request Form. In order to ensure timely fulfillment of any requests, please allow for a minimum of three weeks to guarantee access to films.

Viewing Non-Region 1 DVDs

Please contact Ricky Houck (8-4924 or rmh415@lehigh.edu) to reserve the Panasonic S700P-K Multi Region DVD player from the Circulation Desk at the Fairchild-Martindale Library. This is a circulating item that may be borrowed on short term loan.

For assistance with playing non-Region 1 DVDs on computers and on the usage of other video hardware, please contact Allen Kingsbury (8-3058, alk205@lehigh.edu)

Streaming Rights for DVDs

On occasion, streaming rights for a film on DVD may exist and the studio or artist will provide the digital file for the Lehigh Libraries. These digital files can be hosted on Lehigh's Coursesite platform for instructional use. The Lehigh Libraries can investigate whether such institutional digital rights are available and acquire the license for classroom purposes.

To initiate this process, please complete the Streaming Video Request Form.

The Lehigh Libraries are unable to assist with the digitization and hosting of media, whether physical or digital, without explicit institutional digital rights.

Additionally, many films are already accessible via our existing streaming services. Please click on the "Streaming Video" tab to learn more about the thousands of films that are available for streaming.
