AGU Citation Style

Steps for citing sources:

(1.)

Use this citation generator to generate citations:

(2.)

Check if the citation generator accurately rendered AGU style. For this purpose, open this AGU style guide:

Go to the table of contents under "In this Guide". Click on "Examples of Common References". Check the accuracy of the citations you generated against the examples there.

For example, if one your resources is a journal article, follow the example that the webpage above gives for journals and so on for different types of formats (e.g., popular news, government sources, and so on.)  If you don't see a format covered, go to Purdue's Owl and follow the APA style.

(3)

Finally, when you actually write your paper, you will need to supply in-text references. These are citations within the text of the paper that point to the list of references at the end of your paper.

See the webpage above for how to do this. Go to its table of contents andselect "Reference Format" to see the discussion of in-text citations.
