PURPOSE OF GUIDE
LTS provides data-related services for small to very large sets of data, for any subject area: Business, Engineering, Humanities, Sciences, and Social Sciences. This guide provides information about how to write a data management plan for grant proposals. It also provides information about data storage options available to Lehigh faculty, staff, and students engaged in research for publication or potential funding.
The Library and Technology Services (LTS) data storage grid linked from this guide will be seeing additional content and will be actively maintained. LTS staff can provide guidance about the best match between your data needs and the wide range of data storage options that LTS provides. See the contact information below.
Finally, the guide contains information about other data-related topics.
LTS strongly recommends that researchers, early on, develop long-range plans for a sustainable form of data storage. Doing so can facilitate compliance with future grant applications and avoid the need to later reformat or migrate data to another storage option. Some storage options require a fee, so it is good to plan early for project accounting purposes.
