JoVE for High Schools in Northampton and Lehigh Counties: Home

This is a guide with information for a pilot partnership between Lehigh University Libraries, JoVE and high schools in Northampton and Lehigh counties to provide no-cost access to JoVE STEM videos.

The Basics

What is JoVE? JoVE is a company that provides STEM educational resources in video format. It began as a publisher of a peer-reviewed academic video journal, then expanded into offerings at a more introductory level in STEM education. JoVE's products are used at many colleges and universities to enhance STEM learning and research.

How are the Lehigh University Libraries involved? The Lehigh University Libraries began subscribing to JoVE in 2020 as a way to enhance STEM education generally but especially in light of covid-19. The Lehigh University Libraries are paying for access for all high schools in Lehigh and Northampton counties for the 2021-2022 academic year.

How long will my school have access to JoVE? For the 2021-2022 academic year, JoVE is available to all high schools in Lehigh and Northampton counties as a pilot. After the 2021-2022 academic year, the Lehigh University Libraries will assess use of the service and determine whether to continue paying for access for all high schools in Lehigh and Northampton counties.
