Submitting Electronic Theses and Dissertations

ETD Submission Guide

Introduction

Your dissertation is archived by the Lehigh University Library in both paper and digital formats. The paper copy is kept in Special Collections.

Copies of master theses are archived electronically, but not in paper.

As the Library of Congress designated agent for U.S. dissertations, ProQuest/UMI keeps copies both in digital and microfilm formats.

Lehigh theses and dissertations have been submitted electronically since 2009. Special Collections currently working on making all the Lehigh theses and dissertations available online as "open access". Stay tuned for the progress.

Process of Submitting Your ETD

1. Pass your DEFENSE

2. SUBMIT your FINAL work to LEHIGH ETD site: http://www.etdadmin.com/lehigh/

3. Revisions, edits, etc. –you’ll receive an email if you need to edit your ETD

4.  Pay the publishing FEE to the BURSAR’s OFFICE.

5. Submit your FEE RECEIPT, TITLE PAGE, ABSTRACT and SIGNED APPROVAL page to your COLLEGE GRADUATE COORDINATOR  

6. ETD Administrator will upload your ETD to ProQuest you will receive a confirmation email 

Submission

Guidelines for submitting your ETD:

  • After your dissertation or thesis is approved by your adviser, you need to set up a your own profile in Lehigh ETD Administrator site.
     
  • Your dissertation or thesis must be in a single file PDF. Additional files can be uploaded.
     
  • The submission process can be done in multiple sessions. The electronic submission process expedites the publishing process; a dissertation submitted electronically appears in eight to twelve weeks.
