The library now has a one year trial to the database scite, which enables users to identify scholarly debates. 


STUDENT AND RESEARCHER USE CASES

Student uses:

  •  enables upper undergraduate and graduate students discover scholarly debates and unresolved research areas on which they can write class papers;
  • helps identify topics for theses or dissertations.

Researcher uses:

  • can help identify shape research agendas by enabling discovery of topics that require further work;
  • email alerts can help track support or disagreement with a researcher's prior published results;
  • can be useful in writing review articles that discuss opposing views.

This guide provides a "sample exercise" and points to resources for your further exploration of advanced or more sophisticated uses of the database.
