Jonathan Elkus

Jonathan Elkus, composer, teacher, and bassoonist, was born in San Francisco, Ca., in 1931. He served on the faculty of music at Lehigh University from 1957 to 1973. Elkus was praised for his original creations, and innovative Lehigh band formations. Special Collections holds several archival collections that contain his original manuscripts, sound recordings and other documents. These are some works related to Lehigh songs and marches:
