Students who are partially or fully on campus will have access to the libraries using their Lehigh ID card. Since the campus is operating on swipe-access in light of Covid-19, it is important you keep your Lehigh ID on you at all times. If you have questions about your ID or need a replacement, you will need to contact the IDEAL office.
Everyone on campus in a public or shared space is expected to wear a face mask and practice social distancing--including the library. Disposable face masks are available at the front desk if you forget a mask. Frequent hand-washing for 20 seconds is encouraged and hand sanitizer stations are available through the library.
Lehigh users can place book requests using the ASA library catalog. The requests can be picked up at either Fairchild-Martindale or Linderman Libraries. The other option for both off and on campus students is to request curb side delivery during library business hours. Books are delivered to the LOVE sculpture right outside the Fairchild-Martindale Library. Directions to the LOVE statue are available here. If you have any questions on requesting materials or pick up of materials, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 610-758-4992.
Interlibrary loan (ILL) is available to the Lehigh community. ILL staff will try to borrow books from other libraries if what you need is not currently in the Lehigh Libraries collection. Lehigh users can also submit requests for book chapters, journal articles, reports, and conference papers. Many libraries are still in a re-opening phase due to Covid-19. ILL staff will make every effort to get your material as quickly as possible, but turn around times may take a little longer.
If you have questions about ILL, please email us at email@example.com or call us at 610-758-4992.
Material can be requested through ILLiad and a tutorial to register for ILLiad is available here
PALCI ILL services are still temporarily unavailable as of 8/22/20. We hope services will be able to resume with our partner libraries sometime in September.
Everyone must complete the Covid-19 self assessment before coming to campus. This tool is not meant to take the place of consultation with your healthcare provider or to diagnose or treat conditions if you are feeling ill. The assessment only takes a couple minutes to complete and is completed through the Lehigh University Hawk Watch. Instructions for downloading the app/web-based version can be found here.
