Resources for papers

This guide will help you identify scholarly resources for use in your writing assignments.

To write a good paper, it is critical for you to find excellent  informational sources. This takes some time and patience but makes writing a focused, engaging paper much more easy and efficient.

Before you get started, read the document labeled in CourseSite as "Scientific Writing and Communication (includes information about Citations".

Also, read Appendix A of your lab manual.

Tabs in the guide correspond to the stages in your research and writing:

  • Step 1: find background reading about your topic
  • Step 2: find scholarly articles
  • Step 3: write your paper

Suggestion: first view the library tutorials tab for an overview of some basics about using information resources.
