CITING SOURCES

When writing your SOS scripts for the middle school students, or even working on any academic project, be sure to cite all material, whether articles, images, websites, etc.

In your audio presentations, or in the text of scripts, make sure to cite your sources.

Reasons for citing material you use:

• Lends authority to your scripts and the audio versions you will be working on.
• Helps listeners know where to go for more information
• Helps any trainers who us your training materials to know where to go for background reading.
• Develops and important academic habit and helps prevent plagiarism.
